FRANCINE’S REVIEW:
A superb Dior “Diorette” ring from the “Jardins de Milly la Forêt” collection, named after the village where Christian Dior owned his property with its sumptuous gardens.
At its centre this ring features an imposing oval aquamarine. Around it, multicoloured flowers, a butterfly and a ladybird come together, all crafted in enamel of different colours. There is a diamond at the centre of the butterfly, and an amethyst, a pink sapphire, a yellow sapphire and a tsavorite serving as pistils. The white gold setting is coated with green enamel echoing the leaves beneath the bouquet.
It is an absolutely magnificent piece, typical of Dior, which has often drawn inspiration from nature with garden-themed collections for several decades.
