On a Bulgari necklace, the motif catches the eye, but it is the chain that determines the piece's longevity. A Tubogas holds through the tension of its coiled tube: once slackened, it cannot be corrected. A Serpenti Viper chain is assessed by the articulation of each element and by the absence of any replaced link, visible through a difference in patina.
Each necklace is authenticated before being offered for sale: signature, serial number, hallmarks, chain inspection link by link, verification of the clasp and its security, examination of the setting and hard stones. Certificate of authenticity provided.

Length determines use more than the model. A pendant on a fine chain is worn every day and layers easily with other chains. An articulated choker, such as a Serpenti Viper, requires an exact neck size: if too long, it rotates and the motif shifts off-centre. We state the exact length of each piece and verify that the clasp is original, an area where replacements are frequent and reduce value.
On a conventional chain, yes, in the workshop. On an articulated piece or a Tubogas, the intervention affects the structure and we do not recommend it.
Through a body of evidence: stamping of the signature and number, precious metal hallmarks, regularity of the links, quality of the setting, consistency between the reference and the stated period. A single indicator is never sufficient.
Yes, through outright purchase or consignment. Send us photographs of the motif, the chain and the signed clasp for an initial estimate.
