With a Vintage Alhambra, everything begins with the number of motifs. Ten motifs create a necklace worn close to the neck, twenty motifs a long necklace that can be doubled or worn long, and the price difference between the two is considerable. The single motif pendant remains the entry point to the collection and the piece most sought after as a gift.
Our inspection covers each motif and the chain: no cracks in the mother-of-pearl, onyx or malachite, regularity of the gold beading framing the clover, suppleness of the chain, no replaced link, signature and serial number on the clasp plaque. Certificate of authenticity provided.

White mother-of-pearl is the most classic and the most fragile: it is vulnerable to knocks and perfumes, and its iridescence cannot be restored. Black onyx, being harder, scratches little but shows micro chips on the edges. Malachite and carnelian, produced in limited series, trade above standard materials when in sound condition. Turquoise and lapis, rarer still, belong to the collectors' market.
The ten motif version is worn at the hollow of the neck, the twenty motif version falls on the bust and can be doubled. We state the exact length of each piece, tell us how you wish to wear it and we will guide you.
Only the maison works on its pieces and lead times are long. We therefore only select necklaces whose motifs are all sound.
