The House of Van Cleef & Arpels

Although this piece from the 1990s is no longer in production at Van Cleef & Arpels, the Frivole collection remains as relevant as ever. It belongs to the lineage of exceptional creations from the house of Van Cleef, where floral motifs are often revisited, as with the famous Alhambra clover or the Socrate collection. Lightness, poetry, refinement, creativity… Van Cleef & Arpels is without doubt one of the greatest jewellers of the Place Vendome.

Frivole Collection Necklace

A very lovely Van Cleef & Arpels Frivole necklace of the “choker” close-to-the-neck type. Four three-leaf clovers (3 small and one large), heart-shaped, in 18-carat mirror-polished gold, adorn a black silk band 2 cm wide by 39 cm long. You can of course adjust the length thanks to the gilded slide closure at the back. Three small extra-white diamonds are set at the centre of each flower like a pistil. The total diamond weight is estimated at approximately 0.60 carats. The overall condition of the necklace is very good with faint traces of wear. The engravings of the serial number and the Van Cleef & Arpels signature are located behind the large flower; these can be unscrewed and removed via the backs of the screws.
